The new way is they can hire anyone off the street for of part time manager with no exp, no problem, but ic a part timer wants they have to do all the computer work learning, which is fine, during your main schedule plus the exam and even then the pay will still only be survivable. And all we have to do is let our manager know if we need a day off at least 2 weeks in advance so he can work around it.

Pros Learning alot about cars, great managers, like they actually care about you. Cons Breaks can be here or there depending on customer flow, not wnough consistent hours thru the week. I absolutely love working at AutoZone. Maybe it's that I've wanted to work there for a while. I've been there about a month, month and a half maybe and have not lost myself. I love going to work and hate to leave. I definitely see myself making a career out of AutoZone. Pros Discounts, unlimited vehicle knowledge.

The people are great. But while this is something a person should look for the pay isn't. The store I work at is fast paced and unless your ready for it, it can become too much. The customers can be awesome but also problematic. While you are a driver, that isn't your only job. You'll be helping customers, phone calls, and going out to vehicles along with freight that can be late.

Job gives you a chance to meet great people and learn about cars. Job gets sort of redundant at times though and moving up or trying to get other positions is hard unless the management likes you.

It can go from simple oil changes to entire engine swaps. The employees and co-workers support one another and ultimately make the work environment a very fun place to work. There is on job training but it is also beneficial to have prior knowledge in the automotive industry to move ahead. However, there is always learning opportunities at this job.
