I worked as a christmas temp and I'd highly recommend the stockroom positions if you can get them. They're methodical, you can enjoy music and you don't experience the worst of the rush or have the ups and downs of dealing with customers. Plus I found the staff there generally friendlier Unsurprising since they don't have to deal with moody patrons all day.
